Personal philosphy

I got into practising yoga to relieve some of the stresses of everyday life. Yoga has since given me not only relief, but immense joy. I love sharing this with other people.

When I first got into yoga, I was working full-time as a Gym Instructor/Personal Trainer, and my days were filled with experimenting with different training techniques. 
The first time I practiced yoga I can remember very distinctly.  I put on an instructional DVD a friend had given me that had started to get dusty.  For some reason that evening I pulled my small living room apart in order to make space and just started to follow this beginners sequence.  
The profound relief I experienced in my body and mind will stay with me forever - and I knew yoga would go on to form a deep part of my life.  
Since then I have continued to come back to yoga at every opportunity I can.  Practicing Asanas (Yoga Pose) is not only a physical activity for me, it is a way of life.  Asanas will bring us an astounding array of health benefits and allow our minds to be more flexible and open too. By keeping our bodies flexible we can continue with the other physical activities that we also enjoy, like football, dancing, tennis, you name it!
Having done a degree a Philosophy and Politics at university before practicing yoga, I believed in solving problems through intense debate and thinking. Since then I have discovered another way, one that is joyful, vibrant, healthy, inclusive and quite frankly more fun. 
Many people find that when doing yoga, they may have very deep personal experiences. This can range from simply re-discovering their inner calm mental state, or even the transcendental.  Over time, yogis have attempted to describe and utilize their own personal experiences, guiding their pupils through a class with a range of language and techniques. 
provide a judgment-free class where you yourself can experience these positives changes in your body and mind with your own understanding and interpretation. I am here simply to offer guidance and help.

By practicing yoga with me, you will experience a gently focused class, based on improving your mood- with all the physical benefits of yoga too. 


The classes I offer are mixed ability in group settings. Private sessions online or in person can be tailored to your needs. Just message me to find out more.
